Swing 42 was formed in 1982 to promote swing jazz music for all occasions.
They have performed extensively throughout the Southeast and London regions and have appeared at the Namur Jazz Festival in Belgium.
The Band has great experience playing at formal functions such as weddings, birthdays and business events.
Swing 42 plays a wide range of jazz standards built up over the years from popular requests on gigs. They range from New Orleans Blues through the swing favorites of Gershwin, Berlin, Kern and Porter to the Brubeck Quartet's Take 5. They also include a selection of Waltzes and Bossa's for dance functions.
Dependant on your choice of music, venue and of course your budget we can extend the line up to a quartet, five piece or full six piece Dixieland Jazz Band.
